The beginnings of 27 Sandwiches
This effort began in 2019 as a small initiative to brighten the holidays for individuals experiencing homelessness in South Florida. That first year, 27 sandwich bags were distributed in the Fort Lauderdale area. As word spread and more donors joined the cause, support and impact grew significantly:
2019: 27 meals
2020: 130 meals
2021: 150 hygiene and food packages
2022: 240 hot meals and 200 gift bags
2023: 770 meals
2024: 1,410 meals
2025 (projected): Over 3,000 meals
Our mission is to serve the underserved and often forgotten members of our community—those experiencing homelessness and food insecurity. While it may seem small, one meal, one smile, and a moment of human connection can make a real difference in someone’s life.
We proudly serve the South Florida region, including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach. We invite you to join us—together, we will continue to make a meaningful impact, one meal at a time.
